Microsoft offers all students and teachers the online version of Microsoft Office for free along with 1TB of online storage. Some schools may even be eligible to get full Office apps installed on up to 5 Macs for free.


Accessing this very steep discount is very easy. All you have to do is enter a valid email address of the school and you are ready to download the Microsoft Office apps for your Mac. One of the greatest advantages of this discount is that there is nothing to pay for and it is not for a free trial program. All you have to do provide a valid email address and you are ready to go.


Like we mentioned before, Microsoft Office allows students to get access to Microsoft Office 365 Education for free. To maximize your chances of getting this steep discount, the following are just some of the things you can do:


The full Microsoft ProPlus Office Suite is now available for FREE to faculty, staff and currently enrolled students at Georgia State. You can download the complete Office Suite from your Campus Email account, on up to five devices, including a Windows computer, Mac, Android or iPhone. UFIT is pleased to provide access to free copies of Office 365 to UF students, faculty, and staff. As part of UF's campus-wide licensing agreement, the Microsoft Office 365 program allows multiple full downloads of Microsoft Office to personal computers and mobile devices at no charge.


As an NC State student, faculty or staff member, you can download and install a free copy of the full MS Office suite (includes Word, Excel and PowerPoint), and you also have access to the cloud versions of these products (Office 365).


Rutgers provides free access to various Microsoft Office products for all current students. Starting in the fall of 2014, students, faculty and staff can sign up and use Office 365 services using their ccid@ualberta.ca email addresses, including Office 365 ProPlus and OneDrive for Business. As soon as they sign up, students, faculty and staff can immediately get started with the full functionality of Office.Office 365 Education for Students, Faculty and Staff includes Office 365 ProPlus, which allows students, faculty and staff to install the latest version of Office on up to five PC or Mac computers* and on other mobile devices, including Windows tablets and the iPad. The University of Houston provides Microsoft Office free to every student, faculty and staff member. Faculty and staff can download Microsoft 365 only for their personal computers, Apple, Android and Microsoft mobile devices. For University owned computers, please consult with your local IT support for your software needs. Users will be able to download Office on up to five computers and five mobile devices. Microsoft 365 includes the latest version of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and more. (Note: Installing additional languages on a computer that already has this version of Office does not count against your install limit.)


Active students* and active west campus employees** can directly download and install Microsoft Office software from Office 365 on up to five devices (installation instructions for Windows and Mac). The software is activated through an active Stony Brook University Office 365 subscription. The license to use the software expires when the student or west campus employee is no longer active.


Students enrolled full-time or part-time in a degree granting program at San Francisco State University (i.e., matriculating students) are eligible for a free copy of Microsoft Office 365 Education for Students. To obtain the software:

The download includes the latest versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and more Microsoft programs. These applications may be installed on up to 5 devices.


UC Davis students now have free access to Microsoft's Office 365, including familiar applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint, plus access to the useful storage and file-sharing services available through OneDrive.

Office Professional Plus is free for all UTSA students and consists of full versions of Microsoft Office software: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Access, Publisher, Outlook, Skype for Business, and InfoPath. Students are able to download this software on up to five personal devices.


UF students, faculty, and staff can download full offline copies of Office 2013 Professional Plus, Office 2016 for Mac, and Office for iPad on up to five personal machines (such as a desktop or a laptop) and up to five tablets. You can also run Office for iPad on up to five mobile devices and Office Mobile for iPhone, Android, and Windows Phone on unlimited devices. The applications offered with each of these devices includes Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote, Access, Publisher, Outlook, Lync, InfoPath, and Skype.


This software is free for all SPC students.NOTE: If you stop attending SPC before graduation, you do not have rights to retain downloaded software and will have to remove all copies of the downloaded software. If you have problems or questions about your degree-seeking status, contact an advisor.

Office 365 is provided free of charge to currently enrolled students, faculty and staff. When departing the University, staff will lose access to Office 365 one day after departure, faculty will lose access six months after departure, and students will lose access one semester after departure.


This software is available and licensed as long as you have a valid WWU student email. Note: To keep your free license activated, you need to launch at least one Office application (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) at least once every 30 days on each device.
